We carry stringing materials from German silk to Greek leather, nylon, 'tigertail', the softflex line, elastic, linen, satin and more. Our chain-by-the-foot selection includes sterling silver, copper, gunmetal, 14/20 gold-filled, brass & other options. The original owners, Kim & Greg, hand-pick every item in the store with an eye toward the unique. Our glass selection includes, Czech & Chinese, Indian, Indonesian recycled glass, as well as art glass by many local artists.
We offer jeweler's tools & supplies in various grades, and we carry a full line of copper, brass, nickel silver and silver-plated wire along with sterling silver & 14/20 gold-filled wire in gauges from 26 to 18. Sterling silver, brass & copper sheet, solder, flux, sawblades, files, and many more items are in stock. Classes are held monthly; we teach basic stringing basic wirework usually every month, and offer more advanced & specialized classes when we can. If you have a group of 4-8 people interested in a specific technique, or just want to come in with some friends & have FUN, let us know & we'll arrange something especially for you! We're happy to host your birthday parties too!

Heart Bead opened on September 1st, 1990 on a mission to keep a rotating inventory of unique & interesting beads & supplies available not only to our beloved Northern California beaders, crafters and artists, but also to everyone who wants to create! From aquamarine to sandalwood, abalone to sterling silver, we have lots of choices. Pearls, Austrian crystals, local art glass and a gracious staff to help with design or construction of your special piece await you.
